How to block an IP address or domain from accessing your website via cPanel

If you've found a malicious IP address trying to access your website, or just want to block a specific IP address, IP range, or even a domain name from accessing your website, this can be easily be blocked via the IP Blocker feature within your cPanel hosting. Continue reading our guide below on how to set this up. Alternatively if you have already added an IP address, range or domain name to the IP Blocker on cPanel and would like to remove this, then skip straight to the Removing an IP address, range or domain name from the cPanel IP Blocker Adding an IP address, range or domain name to the cPanel IP Blocker: On the IP Blocker page, you will now want to enter the IP address, IP Range or domain name you wish to block in to the IP Address or Domain box. In this example we will enter the IP: 192.168.0.1  however cPanel provides a few examples beneath the IP Address or Domain box as to what IP address or IP range formats are accepted. You can also add a fully qualified domain name instead in to the IP Address or Domain box (for example: google.com ). cPanel will then look up this domain and block the IP address that the domain resolves to. Once you have entered your IP address, range or domain name click on the Add button to block this. cPanel will then confirm that the IP address, range, or domain you have entered, is now blocked and no longer able to view your website. Removing an IP address, range or domain from the cPanel IP Blocker: If you no longer need cPanel to block the IP address, range or domain you have added, this can be removed just as easily. Firstly you will want to go back to the **IP Blocker **page on your cPanel, found under the Security heading. At the bottom of the IP Blocker page, you will then see the IP address or Range you have previously added.  In this example we have the IP address: 192.168.0.1 currently blocked Click on the Delete button to the right of the IP address or range that you would like to remove. You will then be asked to confirm that you are sure you wish to delete your chosen IP. Click on Remove IP to continue. cPanel will then confirm that the IP address has been removed, and is now able to view your website.
